Okay, so it's been five months since we posted.

Not intentionally.

Life got crazy.

We made excuses.

I've picked up some really bad eating habits over the past few months in my new job (such as living on coffee all day, and then picking up take-out on the way home, and we both end up overeating on pretty unhealthy food).

So we started Weight Watchers again as of this week. Jonathan's been on and off of it, based on my eating habits, and it's been very hard for him to eat well when I'm not. We're learning this is something we have to do together, though it kills me as he gets 44 points each day and I only get 28. :-p Stepping on the scale to weight was scary, though, and a bummer - I'd gained back 8 pounds over the past five months that I had lost this fall. But we've done fairly well this week, and we'll post our weekly weigh-in this upcoming Monday, so stay tuned!

  1. Welcome back!! We gained what I call the winter bear look since November. Grrr. I don't do weight watchers, but we are certainly getting more active as the days get nicer. We bike and hike in the summer when it's not raining!! (and apparently when our kids don't have the flu, like today!) Overall, we've learned a lot about our area from just getting out more! I'm so excited for spring.
    I LOVE your picture on your other blog. You look great!! Good Luck with the weight loss. I should post a few of my favorite summer recipes like grilled salmon, BBQ Chicken, and Beach club salad!!! I love summer!

  2. Thanks for the support, Cat! I'm so glad the winter and dreary weather is mostly behind us - I'm running out of excuses to get outside.

    We are seriously considering getting a grill this summer; first off all, the oven makes the kitchen so hot and secondly, it opens up a lot of new options for us. And please post recipes - I think I need to make a regular day of the week to post some of our favorites.
